All community contributions are welcome as long as they both fit the scope of the project as well as abide by some basic coding conventions and are thoroughly tested. All development is done using the github.com tools and forums. We also recommend getting in touch with us first to coordinate efforts by sending an email to oscars@bnl.gov.
